The typical office document is 3 pages long. A 20ppm printer theoretically will print the typical document in 9 seconds. The 30ppm printer will finish in 6 seconds.

6. How does solid ink printing work?

The ink is melted at temperature close to the boiling point of water over 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
Then the drum starts to spin over 300 revolutions per minute while a microscopic layer of oil is applied.
The print head shoots ink drops at a rate of 40 million drops per second to create the image on the drum.
Then with over 700 pounds of force, the ink is pressed into the paper transferring the ink from the drum to the paper.
The ink cools and solidifies immediately leaving the image bonded to the paper.

The Phaser 8560MFP is the replacement for the WorkCentre C2424 and adds several enhancements.
Mono Copy Quality: Image processing detects whether the input scan is a black & white or color sheet. If black & white, the output is optimized for black & white printing and the black & white billing meter is updated. If a color scan is detected, the output is optimized for color, the color billing meter is updated. This processing is done on a page basis, so a multi-page mixed color job will be printed and billed properly.

The Phaser 8560MFP proudly upholds the Xerox copy legacy, bringing you all the features and functions you would expect from Xerox color multi-function devices.
You don’t have do do anything more to get it other than drop your document in the handler or position it on the glass and press Start. We’ve optimized the default settings for you. It’s just another subtle productivity enhancer that Xerox thought of.
Never worry about hand collating again. The Phaser 8560MFP does that for you. Need to reduce or enlarge? No problem. The C2424 can reduce/enlarge % in 1% increments. Want to copy a book and don’t want that ugly gutter showing up? No worries. Just select Gutter Erase and go.
How about copying a wallet-size photo and repeating the image on a single sheet of Xerox Photo Paper in multiple columns and rows? Easy. Just select Image Repeat, specify how many columns and how many rows and press Start.
But let’s say you want to limit access to color. It’s a simple setup right from the local user interface and once in place, only those with the appropriate PIN will have color copy access.

If you can make a simple copy, you can scan to your PC desktop. It’s that simple. Really. Using the Xerox Scan Utility, simply press the Scan button on the hard panel display, select your PC user name from the alphabetically sorted list that appears on the user interface, load your documents in the handler or place on the document glass and press Start. Chances are, by the time you’ve retrieved your newly scanned document and walk back to your PC, the Xerox Scan Utility window will have automatically opened and your documents are there and good to go.
