Today I’d like to introduce you to the new Xerox Phaser 6600 color printer and WorkCentre 6605 color multifunction printer.
These devices are built for small teams of up to 10 professionals who depend on their printer or MFP to power their small office or workteam.

We hear from customers consistently that when they are buying a color printer or MFP for their office – color matters. In small offices and small groups in larger locations, these printers all called on for a wide variety of activities. Internal communications, customer-facing communications, you never know when your documents will be helping you make an important point or win a new customer.
Reduction of paper use, wireless networking, security – customers are evaluating new capabilities for their offices.
Lastly, time is always tight for our customers, and finding unexpected ways to save time means finding more time to devote to every company’s #1 priority – growing their business. 2

Whether printing a set of collaterals before a customer meeting or a presentation to share with your manager – communication is key and professional looking documents can help. For customers who work in service industries, where growing their business means finding new customers while retaining current customers, having a printer or MFP in the office that can help with marketing and sales efforts while supporting the daily printing tasks is a worthwhile consideration and investment.

Photo Mode optimizes print quality for convenient printing of pictures.
The Phaser 6600 and WorkCentre 6605 feature a number of technologies that help deliver accurate, high quality color output, including:
Colors that are accurate and consistent with support for True Adobe PostScript 3 and Pantone Color calibrated solid-color simulations
Enhanced and Photo print quality modes uses 600 x 600 x 4 dpi (1200 x 1200 enhanced image quality), which allows for up to 16-shades of color per pixel and enhances the edges of graphics and fine lines.
Photo mode also increases toner saturation – delivering deeper, richer colors for images and graphics
Xerox unique EA Toner – toner particles are engineered to have a uniform size and shape, producing fine detail and sharp, clear text

DADF eases processing of two-sided originals for copy, scan and fax jobs.
Customers can give their office a quick upgrade by refreshing technology like their color printer or MFP.
For example – as companies continue to plan and start utilizing digital storage for their documents, ease and speed of scanning becomes more important. Moving from filing cabinets full of paper documents to electronic files stored in computers or servers and integrating that into you offices work processes will expose issues like how to handle two-sided documents. The WorkCentre 6605 includes a Duplex Automatic Document Feeder, which can automatically scan two-sided originals when scanning, copying or faxing.

Two-sided printing saves paper and gives documents a professional appearance. Earth Smart settings help reduce paper usage and track savings.
Saving paper is another consideration for many customers. Earth Smart settings are available in the drivers for these products to make it easy to see and select the paper saving features that are available, and maximize the use of them while tracking the amount of paper that has been saved. Earth Smart settings are easy to find by clicking on the green button in the driver interface.

Optional Wireless Networking Adapter allows you to place the unit where you want it.
In many offices, space is constrained or a network connection is not easily reachable at the optimal location for the printer. In these cases, wireless networking is an easy way to connect the printer or MFP to the network regardless of where it is located in the office – as many are likely already doing today with other devices like laptop computers and mobile devices.

Many of us have USB memory devices that we use to carry files, or to easily move files from one computer to another. The front panel USB port on the WorkCentre 6605 helps customers quickly print PDFs and images stored on these devices, or scan files directly to them.

Our customers don’t want to spend time managing or waiting on their printers or MFPs. The Phaser 6600 and WorkCentre 6605 are designed to minimize the wait – and get our customers back to what’s most important for their business.
One way they do this is simply through print speed – with output speeds as fast as 36 pages per minute for color and black-and-white, even multiple copies of presentations or long documents can be completed in a matter of minutes.

Keeping it simple is important too. The 4.3-inch color touch screen user interface gives customers an intuitive way of interacting with the WorkCentre 6605, and working through the steps required to program and execute copy, scan, and fax jobs.

Easy front-panel access for replacing toner cartridges.
When its time to replace toner cartridges, customers won’t need to turn the device to access doors on the side or back. Toners are easily replaced through front-panel access. And with high-capacity cartridges available, customers can choose to decrease the frequency of toner replacement.

Extra paper tray increases capacity, or allows for multiple media types/sizes to be loaded.
Lastly, with a standard and optional 550-sheet paper tray paper-loading interventions are minimized and made easier by being able to load an entire ream of paper at a time.

The Phaser 6600 is offered in two configurations – the N configuration, which includes the base 550-sheet tray, 256 MB of RAM and network and USB connectivity. The DN configuration adds automatic two-sided output.
