Therefore, a company collaborates with a local research institution in Hong Kong (i.e University or R&D Centre) will benefit the followings:  Funding support from ITF;  Opportunity for testing out in government departments or quangos (e.g. Hospital Authority);  Reference which is useful in future marketing (either to bid for Hong Kong government projects or to penetrate into the Mainland market) 16
