6 Activating Strategies / Students will begin each class with an “activating strategy” that warms them up for the class. These activities can include: / Interpreting quotes / Journaling / Daily Oral Language / Quick grammar reviews / Word knowledge / These journals are collected quarterly and graded. / Students will begin each class with an “activating strategy” that warms them up for the class. 8 Absences / Assignments given prior to the absence are to be handed in upon student’s return to school. / Assignments given during absences are due within one day after student’s return to school. / I will not ask for missing work.
