8 Some Preliminary Requirements for the Paper Students will only be finding articles that are meant to support and contradict their stances (yes, this paper will have a counterargument). Students will be annotating those articles and taking notes on an appropriate note-taking template. Template will be available on my website. Students will need a minimum of four sources for this particular project. Three sources should support the writer’s stance. Obviously more weight should be on articles that support the writer’s positon. At least one source should counter the writer’s stance to avoid bias. Students will need to type a minimum of three full pages for this assignment. Students will follow MLA formatting guidelines for this assignment. I will also have this available for you on my website. The entire paper is to be paraphrased and cited (no quotes are to be included). Plagiarism is serious, so take the time to really KNOW about your topic so that you can discuss it with great ease. More requirements are forthcoming.
