3 19 th Amendment 1920 Lucy BurnsSufferin' till Suffrage Bad Romance: Women's Suffrage “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex” Grants women the right to vote in all state and national elections.

4 20 th Amendment Changes the President & VP’s inauguration date to January 20 th @ noon. Senators & HOR’s begin their term January 3 rd

5 21 st Amendment 1933 Ends prohibition!! Repeals the 18 th amendment Dec 5 1933

6 22 nd Amendment 1951 Limits president to 2TERMS in office FDR served just short of 4 full terms 1933-1945

7 23 rd 1961 – Gives citizens of D.C. the right to vote. They get 3 presidential electors. No Senators or Representatives. 24 th 1965 - Abolished poll tax

8 25 th amendment Establishes succession of president. Who’s next in line if the president dies, and so forth. 9 26 th Amendment Sets the voting age to 18

10 27 th Amendment Limits congress from giving themselves a raise during their current term. Raise goes into effect next term.
