Francis Bacon, the father of modern science, said that “true science is a search for causes.”
Science is the study of cause and effect by means of the scientific method. The scientific method is the way of setting up experimentation whereby one may predict, observe, test, and repeat certain phenomenon that occurs in nature.

THE PROBLEM OF ORIGINS
The question of origins cannot be tested by means of the scientific method because it was unobserved and unrepeatable.
Therefore, we must seek for an explanation of a cause by only observing the present effects all around us today. The examination of evidence is called forensic science.
