4 better information --> better decisions --> better health4 Audiology data collection and reporting Various versions since April 2006. Most recent requirements set out in letter to Chief Executives on 16 th Dec 2008. First data collection due 23 Jan 2009 more on that later …………….

5 better information --> better decisions --> better health5 Summary of differences PreviousCurrent Numbers of new referrals, numbers assessed, numbers fitted with hearing aids and other activity information as totals for the quarter. New dataset requests numbers of patients waiting at the month end in single week intervals from 104 weeks (2 years) in 4 categories. Numbers waiting in 6 categories from initial assessment through to review of re-assessed patients were divided into 5 time bands from 0 to 9 weeks to > 52 weeks and a maximum wait. Activity information is replaced by requesting how long the patients who were seen during the calendar month waited to be seen, in the same 4 categories as those currently waiting. No separate category for patients who are waiting for re-assessment after review. These patients should be included with those waiting for a first contact appointment. Quarterly submissionMonthly submission e-mailed to Dan.Harper@isd.csa.scot.nhs.uke-mail to Audiology@isd.csa.scot.nhs.uk
