MONEY MONEY MONEY London/Paris 2013

Money Exchange 1 pound= $ 1.50 dollars (London) 1 euro= $1.30 dollars (Paris) iPhone Apps- Currency Exchange Apps Best rate to exchange money is before hand at your own bank. Ask a few days before you need it- not the night before! ATMs around the city to pull out more cash if needed. VISA and MasterCard used everywhere.

Tipping Remember tipping!!! These are the suggested tipping amounts- 1. Tour Director- $6 per day/ total $54 2. Bus Drivers- $3 per day/ total $27 3. Local Guides (4)- $1 per person/ $4 total Roughly Total- $85

Tipping Continued **We’d like to collect the tips BEFORE the trip! Let’s hand them in at the May 28 th meeting. For more information on tipping: Check your EF page under “Know Before You Go”  Before The Tour

Extra Excursions 1. Free Time in London  Westminster- 8 pounds= $10.50  The Globe performance- 5 pounds= $7.00 Total- $10.50 because we are covering the Globe Theatre performance! Yay! ** We’d like to collect this money at the May 28 th meeting.

Carry Around Money This totally depends on how much you eat and how much you like to shop. I budget for 15 pounds= $23 a day. (a good lunch, drink, bathroom, tip etc.) This doesn’t include any souveniors.

What if I run out of money? What happens if you don’t bring cleats to your game? It’s going to be uncomfortable to play! Suggestions- 1. Set up a debit card with your bank that parent and student knows the pin number to. Parents can see online what they are spending. 2. Bring a credit card. VISA and Master Card accepted at most places worldwide.

What is a Euro? What is a pound? Let’s look at some cash!!! Coins are used more often in these countries! They won’t exchange coins to cash when we go back home! Spend your coins!
