Use the box in the top right hand corner of every slide to provide this information. 2.Submitting your project for additional categories? You must submit separate Entry Packages for each. But only one entry fee is required. 3.You may include supplementary information as part of your final PDF. 4 CATEGORIES 1. REPROGRAM Legislation, Policy & Program Initiatives Projects or programs that remove barriers and/or facilitate brownfield redevelopment, reinvestment and regeneration. Provides model of excellence that can be applied or replicated by provincial, regional or municipal governments. Stimulates new investment or facilitates collaborative partnerships to implement vision for intensification and improved ROI for public funds. 2. REMEDIATE Sustainable Remediation & Technological Innovation Demonstrates leadership and innovation in environmental soil remediation. Promotes economic in-situ solutions that avoid broader environmental impacts. Incorporates ecological principles though pilots designed to go mainstream. REINVEST Financing, Risk Management & Partnerships Relies on innovative approaches to obtain capital financing for the purposes of economic and ecological regeneration (i.e. use of public- private partnerships, public incentives to leverage investment. Facilitates innovative solutions to mitigating process risk. 4. REBUILD Project Development: Building Scale Demonstrates excellence in site specific responses to public policy initiatives that accelerate place of regeneration resulting from development. Promotes enhanced public realm, successfully leverages opportunities for collaboration and policy integration across different sectors. Combines imaginative adaptive reuse of heritage structures that promote health and well-being. 5. RENEW Project Development: Neighbourhood Scale Stimulates neighbourhood scale reinvestment. Uses adaptive reuse of heritage and other structures to encourage integrated multi-phased redevelopment. Demonstrates high levels of collaboration, inspires many land owners and investors to engage with community support of a shared vision. Promotes comprehensive neighbourhood transformation by re-envisioning public realm, improving functionality, liveability and character of an area. 6. REACH OUT Communications, Marketing & Public Engagement Successfully packages municipal reinvestment plans and programs for regeneration and/or brownfields redevelopment in support of a community's competitiveness and long-term sustainability. Demonstrates innovative approaches to build support for private/public sector investment and development designed to achieve intensification through redevelopment, regeneration and other reinvestment strategies.
