9 From INFC’s perspective, two aspects of “water-related disaster” are relevant: – Natural disaster – Catastrophic failure of water infrastructure INFC addresses these in three ways: – Direct investment in infrastructure – Green targets, program categories, and policy leveraging – Enhancing research, knowledge and outreach Infrastructure Canada: Water and disasters

10 Through a “green” investment category for infrastructure projects that improve the quality of our environment and contribute to our national goals of clean air and water Through other investments requiring risk management – ‘plan’ for disasters INFC, Water and Disasters: INFC direct investments in infrastructure
