4 A resume is a summary of your background, skills and qualifications, which is for employers to review But more importantly, a resume is YOU. It's the only thing (besides a cover letter) that the employer will see about you, so make a good first impression! market yourself gain the employer's attention get that interview! WHAT IS A RESUME?

5 Promote your strengths; create strong positive images Target your employer's needs/tailor to career position Focus on what you can offer Be authentic and provide specific, relevant examples Employ action verbs; omit pronouns Administered, Developed, Organized, Evaluated, etc. RESUME BASICS
