8 BPW Affiliates Leading ‣ BPW Korea worked with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the UN Global Compact, Korea Network to launch WEPs during the 2010 G-20 Summit held first Leadership Conference in 2011; 2nd event in 2012. Aim to integrate the WEPs into corporate and government environment and introduce them to other Pacific Island countries ‣ BPW Turkey inaugural WEPs Forum at Yeditepe University, in 2010. 2nd international conference in March 2012; high level participation by government and UN officials; co- organising UNGC WEPs event for October 2012 Young BPW Turkey weekend ‘Youth and Experience Sharing for the WEPs promoting ‘YES4WEPs!’ ‣ BPW American Samoa

9 BPW Affiliates Leading ‣ BPW France launched communication campaign; targeted international companies: Orange Business Services, Areva, LVMH, Danone, Bouygues; integrates WEPs into global communication document. ‣ BPW Canada engaged government leaders’ support for the official launch of WEPs; National Convention with signatories including Ministers; arrnge press conference; present WEPs at London Chamber of Commerce; Mayor of City of London signs; holding first WEPs webinars; ‣ BPW Australia held a National Policy Conference on WEPs;became member of UN Global Compact Australia Network; co- organised first WEPs consultations with business in 2009; panel discussion in September 2012

10 BPW Affiliates Leading ‣ BPW Nigeria 2011 National Conference “Women in REAL Business: Doing Business the Right way” invited UN Women to co- launch WEPs; 250 participants ‣ BPW New Zealand launched WEPs with UN Women & Equal Rights Commission in February 2012 at Government House;11 companies signed; ‣ BPW Johannesburg South Africa partnered with Minister of Trade and Industry, DTI in 2011; breakfast launch - 64 CEOs signed the CEO Statement of Support; over 400 corporates attended included SA’s leading companies;widespread media coverage with CEO’s joining the Minister on stage to show support for initiative. Sept 2012: hosted press conference with the DTI. Minister of Women delivered keynote address; additional 35 CEOs sign the CEO Statement of Support. 2011 signatories received an acknowledgment award for their commitment to making equality a corporate priority.
