4 Parking Garage: The Solution? WSU Parking More Garages More Cars More Garages University of Maryland, College Park found that each parking space in a garage costs roughly $9,000 - $12,000 to construct and $500 per space to maintain. We’re not the only ones considering this! There’s not a lot of land around WSU to expand on… Do we really want to sacrifice something for the sake of a garage?

7 Revenue The implementation of a five dollar Student Services Fee to be added to students’ tuition would generate $70,000 a year. 10 Employment Opportunities An estimated 30 part-time student drivers will be needed, assuming each driver works an average of 9 hours a week Training is provided at $7.25/hr and, provided the applicant obtains his/her CDL Class C license and meets all other requirements, will be eligible for a pay raise.
