2 Current Health Sciences Shuttles – Four (4) different primary routes with excessive stops – A few single purpose routes – “Concierge” service in some lots – Infrequent – Inconsistent schedule – Difficult for passengers to understand the routes

3 Challenges Enrollment is the greatest influencing factor on revenue growth for the bookstore Consolidation and the name change have presented significant challenges Interest from outside management providers is weak right now Temporary / Seasonal / Student employee model may not be sustainable

5 Proposed Health Sciences Transit System Reduce to two routes with two shuttles on each route, with an additional shuttle at peak demand. – Green Route – Service the northern areas of the Health Sciences campus. – Gold Route – Service the southern areas of the Health Sciences campus.

13 Effective Transit System Frequent – Green Route every 8.9 minutes, Gold Route every 7.2 to 10.8 minutes On time – Reduced stops, eliminate concierge service, efficient route design Understandable – Passenger Information System, only two routes Reliable – Multiple busses on each route, regular stops, spare bus

15 Parking & Transportation Updates Parking Demand Study conducted in November – Report coming soon. Parking and Transportation consultants have completed new routes designs and the parking demand study, work now shifts to parking policies, deck maintenance, equipment recommendations.
