Connector The snow reminds me of my trip to Japan The dog reminds me of the largest dog I’ve seen in Japan The snow also reminds me of when our flight to Japan was delayed due to heavy snow. This book is relatable to us attending war memorials in Gallipoli and in Australia. Its relatable to our lives because we all honour the fallen and wounded soldiers. Monday 11 th May 2015

Questioner · Didn’t they visit Joe’s grave? · Is Joe real, or is he a ghost? · Has Joe’s world entered the present? · If Rose convinced Joe not to fight for war again, will he still be alive today? · Can Rose change the past if she convinced Joe not to fight for war?

Questioner Why are the wounded soldiers travelling to England? Was Joe on board the train? Did the train collide with an unidentified object?

Predictor I predict that Rose will succeed in convincing Joe not to fight for war. Therefore, she’ll be able to change the past. Monday 25 th May 2015

Summary Monday 25 th May 2015 Joe’s returned for war Rose has found Joe in the trenches Joe’s slowly dying Rose failed to convince Joe to stop fighting Was Rose dreaming, or not? Rose has returned from Joe’s world It was all real! Rose can’t change the past Rose attempted to find Joe’s present Rose got to keep Tommy, the dog

Reflection of Valentine Joe Valentine Joe is a gripping tale. The story is about a girl called Rose. Rose came from London, but she was travelling to Belgium by train to remember those who have fallen during war. So when Joe’s world enters the present, Rose goes on a quest to save Joe from fighting for war (Because he was ill). However she wasn’t able to change that, because Joe’s world was in the past. I really enjoyed this book, however the start was lagging a bit, which didn’t entertain me. But it was still a great story.
