2 Student will practice using underlining and quotation marks to punctuate titles of movies, TV shows, TV episodes.

3 *Capitalized words could mean: title, authors name, day of the week, beginning of a sentence… *Books, newspapers, CDs, albums, musical compositions and magazines are underlined *Chapters in a book, articles in a piece of work, songs, etc. are in quotation marks

4 Today, you will be: Underlining: movies and TV Shows “Quotation Marks”: TV episode titles

5 Lets look at some rules…  Underline when you write a Movie title- Star Wars  Use italics when you type a Movie title- Star Wars  Underline when you write a TV show title- What I Like About You  Use italics when you type a TV show title- Madama Butterfly  Use quotation marks for a TV show episode titles- “Enough is Enough”

6 Dad’s favorite episode of Star Trek is Trouble with Tribbles.

7 STEPS: 1. Read the sentence 2. Put your finger on the title 3. Decide what it is: the title of a movie, TV show, or TV show episode 4. Underline movies and TV shows; Use quotation marks TV show episodes #1 Jules missed the iCarly episode called iCarly Saves TV.
