2 Rule 1 Use quotation marks for titles of short stories, essays, magazine articles, songs, poems, newspaper articles, or book chapter. Example: “Teen” “The Girl Escaped”

3 Rule 2 Use italics (underlining) for titles of a book, play, film, TV show, magazine, or newspaper. Example: Teen Magazine Lord of the Rings

4 Rule 3 First, last and all important words must be capitalized. Prepositions, conjunctions, and articles (a, an,the) do not get capitalized in the middle of a title. Example: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe The Night at the Museum
