Introducing: ZapS

How Much Do You Spend On Shoes??

This Much…  Shoes: Estimates for what the average woman spends on shoes range from $370 per year ($16,410 over 67 years), up to $25,000 over a lifetime.  Conducted by British insurance company GoCompare.com, the study found that women spend an average of about $53 per pair, which adds up to almost $370 per year, and $16,410 over 67 years, according to the paper.  The average woman reportedly also owns 19 pairs of shoes, and buys seven pairs of shoes per year for a total of 469 pairs in a lifetime.

Think About Something Brand New!

What We Wanted for ZapS  One of the biggest things we set out to do in this project was to solve a problem.  The world of shoes have not really changed In the last century or so, given some minor modifications here or there.  It is time to change up the market and create something exciting for your feet!

The Idea To Fix the Shoe World  According to USA Today, All parents want their children to look beautiful, but spending money on costly designer clothing is a bit of a moot point.  Kids outgrow their shoes and clothes quickly, and they tend to get them messy too.  This is why we wanted to create a shoe that would help solve a lot of these issues.

ZapS  This product is a basic shoe in a variety of different models, sold and manufactured by us  The Sole and Insole of the shoe would be de-teachable and allow the user to add either new upgraded models of their current sole or the customer can attach different accessories to the shoe.  These accessories would be mainly for people who want to use them as cleats, hiking boots, roller blades, etc.

ZapS Continued  Anytime the sole of the shoe is worn out or the customer wants to change it up, they just slide off the sole of the shoe and replace it with another.  If the shoe itself becomes worn out, the child out grows the shoe or if you want a different style, the customer can order another pair or send their old worn out/outgrown pair and we send them a new shoe for 50% off.  This would give families and struggling people an opporunity to save hundreds, even thousands replacing old shoes or buying activity specific shoes.

Explanation of the Models  The physical model was built first then the 3-D Model was built So we knew what kind of dimensions we were working with.  The circular part on the 3D model is meant to represent a part in the real sole that will tighten a wire to fit various sizes of shoes, to ensure that it is secure. The elliptical piece inside the sole is what the circular piece tightens.  We needed to find a way to make sure the sole would tighten and stay secure but not be extremely cumbersome for the consumer to use.

Pros  Pros  Cheap  Multi-Functionality  Stylish  Comfortable  Easy to use

Cons  Cons  We are the only manufactures  Cannot be used with other shoes  Maintenance would only be administered by us, you need to send the shoe back to our headquarters.
