2 When winter comes we are obliged to spend more time indoors because out-of doors it’s cold. On a fine winter day snow is falling in large flakes, covering the ground. Ponds, lakes, rivers and streams are frozen, and the roads are sometimes covered with slippery ice. The trees are bare. Bitter north winds have stripped them of all their leaves. Everything is white and it’s very nice to be in the open air - it’s the time for skiing, skating, and hockey playing.
