Curriculum and homework Revised Curriculum – 6 Areas of Learning Language and Literacy Mathematics and Numeracy The Arts (Art, Drama, Music) The World Around Us (Geography, History, Science) Personal Development and Mutual Understanding Physical Education Also teach RE throughout the school/assembly Homework – given to each class; combination of reading, written activities, practical activities and spelling. Provision made for children with special needs.

6. Parent Teacher Association (PTA) With a child/children at the school, you can become a member of the PTA. Committee meets around twice a term Main areas of support; - school fairs - social events for parents - fundraising activities - support in school ie library, Christmas

Admissions Criteria and Process Enrolment number - 221 (i.e. total enrolment permitted) Admission number – 30 (i.e. total admissions permitted to P1) In the event of the school being oversubscribed, preference will be given to those children of compulsory school age (i.e. for P1, children born on or between 2 July 2009 and 1 July 2010): with a brother or sister* currently in attendance at the school whose brother or sister* previously attended the school. children of permanent paid staff at the school.
