13 Messages are sorted in the following order:  New (unread) messages first, oldest first.  Archived (read) messages next, oldest first.  At menu entry, the ‘current message’ is set to the oldest new message, if any, or else to the oldest archived message. Special case: if only ONE message is stored, the menu wording changes to: “New messages: one” - OR - “Archived messages: one” “To listen, press 2. To delete, press 9. To exit, press ‘star’.” After a new message is played in full, it is automatically ‘archived’. If ALL messages are to be deleted (enter ‘0’), the machine plays a confirmation message as follows: “To delete all, press 0, or any other key to abort” Zero must be entered again before all messages are deleted. 14 Time and Date stamp: If enabled, the time and date stamp announcement for NEW messages is: “New message received today, 3:10pm” -OR- “New message received August 7, 3:10pm” -OR- “New message received 3:10pm” For ARCHIVED messages: “Message received today, 10:20am” -OR- “Message received August 7, 10:20am” -OR- “Message received 10:20am” CONTENTS

15 1.From the special functions menu (9) selection option 5 2. The system will then notify you of the current phone diversion number. You will then be asked, if you wish, to keep or change the current setting 3. To enter the new number wait for the prompt and enter the number you wish your calls to be diverted to and then enter # (hash) Note : The number entered will be used both for VM external transfer & extend VM notification CONTENTS

Hi – you’ve reached the voicemail of YOUR NAME. Please press zero now to return to the operator, or leave your message after the tone. Press star to stop recording. Thank you. Hi – you’ve reached the voicemail of YOUR NAME. To return to the main menu please press one now, to transfer to my mobile press 7 or leave your message after the tone, and press star to finish. Thank you.

17 If you want a caller to be transferred to an external number * from your VM Greeting Message (by entering ‘7’), follow these steps 1) Include the option in your VM Greeting Message recording (e.g. “…If you want to transfer to my mobile, press 7 now (pause) …or wait for the tone to leave a message…(pause).” 2) Program an external number using Menu 9 Option 5. 3) Enable or disable the operation using Menu 9 Option 6. * Subject to Telephone System functionality & ISDN required. CONTENTS

18 1) Program an external number using Menu 9 Option 5. 2) Enable or Disable the operation by pressing 7 again. When a new VM message is received, the Messagemate calls the external number you specified, waits until the call is acknowledged and then plays the VM Main Menu. The Messagemate will make 1 to 3 attempts to notify you, if attempts are unsuccessful, the system will then activate the message wait light. NOTE 1: These facilities are available to the first 20 mailboxes. If you want to be notified externally of new VM messages, follow these steps: CONTENTS EXTERNAL VOICE MAIL NOTIFICATION

19 TO DISABLE 1. Enter the voicemail pilot number 2. Enter your security code (eg: 99xx or 9xxx) 3. Enter 9 (special functions) 4. Then enter # & your current security code 5. Then enter star four times(****) 6. Enter **** again to confirm 7. To exit the press star (*) until the system says “GOODBYE” CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTENTS To Disable your Security Code

Please press zero to return to the operator, or leave your message after the tone. Press star to stop recording.Thank you.”

25 Retrieving Voice mail INTERNALLY –Retrieve Voicemail Menu - INTERNALLY. Enter the Voicemail pilot number ( or use the hot key if programmed) Enter your security number - 9EEE or 99EE Enter 1 to retrieve Voice Mail “New messages: (number). Archived messages: (number)” To listen, press 2. To select the next message, press 3. To select the previous message, press 1. To delete, press 9. To delete all, press 0. To exit, press ‘star’ until the Messagemate says "Goodbye"

26 To retrieve VoiceMail EXTERNALLY –Retrieve Voice Mail - EXTERNALLY Dial in & wait for one of the following : 1) The Day or Night message & then enter #321 2) Ask the operator to transfer you to your extension number, while your greeting message is playing dial #321 3) Dial your direct line & while your greeting message is playing enter #321 The follow the instructions as normal

27 External Notification From the opening Menu - select Special Functions by Pressing 9 Step 1 is to set up the phone number you wish to be contacted on - a mobile or any external number you select from YOUR voice mail box. Step 2 now to activate you press 7 and it will say “external notification enabled” to de activate (now or latter) press 7 again and it will say “ exteranl notification de activated”

28 To Change or delete your security code. The last thing in the introductionary tour is to give you the option of changing or deleting your current secrity code. From the opening Menu - select Special Functions by Pressing 9 Step 1 Enter # plus your current extension number i.e #9EEE Step 2 Enter you new four (4) digit extesnion number, then as asked confirm you new securirty code or Step 3 Enter four stars ( **** ) and confirm, then you will no longer be asked for your security code.
