3 Mercury  Mercury has no moons.  A year on Mercury is 88 Earth-days long.  Mercury looks a lot like Earth’s moon.

4 Venus  Venus has no moons.  Venus is the hottest planet.  Venus has no moons

5 Earth  Earth is 93 miles from the sun.  Earth is made out of rocks.  Earth temperature is perfect for humans.

6 Mars  Mars was named after a Roman god of war.  Mars is about half the size of Earth.  The atmosphere on Mars is made up of 95% carbon dioxide.

7 Jupiter  Jupiter is the largest planet.  Jupiter has 1 ring that you can’t see.  Jupiter is twice as large as all the planets put together.

8 Saturn  Saturn has 1,000 rings made out of ice and rocks.  From space Saturn looks like a shining golden globe.  Saturn is the 2 nd largest planet

9 Uranus  Uranus rotates in a opposite.  Uranus lies on its back.  Uranus half year is sunlight on one side.

10 Neptune  Neptune wind is 600 miles.  Neptune has four or more rings that are hard to see.  It takes 165 earth years to make 1 Neptune year.

11 Pluto  Pluto’s year is 248.4 earth years.  On 2006 scientist announced that Pluto is a dwarf planet.  Pluto is as big as Charon Pluto’s moon.
