Equipment Identification “I need to order a Finn Part….”
Where does the customer find the serial number? Serial number plate (aka “Finn Name Plate) is generally located on the front, right side of the equipment (on the frame) On some Bark Blowers, the serial number is located under the control panel. Finn Serial numbers start with two or three letters and end with numbers. The letters tie the machine to a manual. Only the following letters are valid in Finn serial #’s: M,O,D,E,L,N,U,B,R,S Use the manual look up under the parts log in to find the serial number that matches the machine. *Note: We are currently working on a lookup to cross reference serial numbers. Some will not be available at this time. NOTE: We are building a “look-up” which will tell you exactly which manual to use based on serial number… coming soon.

Warranty Service Claim Number: A Finn Warranty Claim Number must be obtained from the warranty department the same day work is performed if business hours allow or next business day at the latest. All warranty labor must be pre-approved with a Work Authorization Number provided by Finn’s Warranty Administrator prior to work being performed. Exception: If work being performed is per the current Labor Allowance Schedule provided by Finn, pre-approval is not required. However a Warranty Claim Number is still required as noted above. In order to obtain the Work Authorization Number, an estimate of costs must be provided to Finn and approved by the Finn Warranty Administrator, Director of Engineering or CFO before work begins. Once approved, any additional costs above the approved cost must be approved in order to be eligible for warranty coverage. Transportation, hauling, storage, or other similar costs are not part of Finn’s obligation under the limited warranty and are the responsibility of the equipment owner.
