2 What is De’ VIA? Art movement with focus on Deaf theme
De’ VIA stands for DEAF VISUAL Started by a group of Deaf artists in 1989 Some Artists did their artwork with Deaf theme before De’ VIA formed There are many Deaf artists but few of them do their artwork with Deaf theme Also hearing artists such as CODA can do the De’ VIA

Iconicity is the conceived similarity or analogy between a form of a sign (sign that looks like the real thing) For example: sign “Cat” to describe what cat looks like "arbitrariness of language" is that for the signs, which is no relationship between the objects associated with the sign. For example: sign “math” has no image associated with math or sign “France” has nothing to do with France. Aesthetics , beauty of the image, is very important! Aesthetics mean something is very beautiful to look at.
