20  Meet with President Elect and Immediate Past President. Strategize for upcoming year  Review Committees – Fill in with volunteers  Education programs should always be set up 45-60 days in advance: - Subject - Speaker - Site - Funding

21  Pass the Gavel – gather outgoing and incoming officers for a meeting to get smooth transition of activities from one year to next  Charge chairs with developing a budget  Confirm first meeting :  Speaker  Site  Funding

22  Prepare programs for Pharmacy Week  Have first General Membership meeting  Contact other presidents to coordinate joint meeting if any  Remind members of MCM in September and October  Begin to look for potential candidates for office.

23  Request names for nominees for NYSCHP Awards  Fall membership drive  Legislative action committee should begin

24  Determine who will be nominated for awards at State Council  Remind general membership about Winter Program  Review guidelines for local awards  Review changes to own Constitution and Bylaws

25  Submit nominees for State Awards  Contact Schools to prepare for Albany Day

26  Final chance to submit nominees for State Council Awards  Select members to attend leadership meeting  First call for nominations for local chapter elections  Resolutions should be submitted for review  Constitution and Bylaw changes must be submitted to Council

27  Second/final call for nominations for local chapter elections  Resolutions must be submitted by February 13, 2015

28  Attend Leadership Meeting  Begin preparing Installation Speech  Present slate of officers to general membership  Sit down with accountant to complete taxes  Confirm delegates for Annual Assembly.

29  Attend Albany Day  Coordinate delegate meeting to review resolutions, board reports for Annual Assembly.  Fill vacant delegate seats at Assembly  Obtain nominees for local awards.

30  Mail ballots early in month.  Arrange for Board of Canvassers to count ballots  Self–promoting, campaigning and politicking for state and chapter positions is considered to be unprofessional. Therefore candidates and officers should refrain from such activities.  Lead delegation at Annual Assembly  Prepare annual report for presentation to members.  Contact winners of election and awards to congratulate them.  Prepare Award plaques

31  Finish installation speech  Finish outgoing speech/annual report  Act as master of ceremonies at installation dinner
