7 Climate Temperate climate except during monsoon season
Monsoon season is June to September Humidity rises from March - June Average temperatures vary from 23 degrees C to 32 degrees C Climate  Usually the climatic conditions of Goa are temperate, except during the monsoons, which last from June to September. Thanks to the coastal Konkan region, and the backdrop of the Western Ghats, the weather of Goa is pleasant and sunny. There are no extremes of temperature and no clear demarcation from one season to the other, except for the monsoons. The average temperature varies between 23 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius. The average rainfall is approximately 250 cm and the average daily hours of sunshine are 9 to 10 hours in summer and 3 to 5 hours in the monsoons.Monsoon  The main feature of the Goan climate is the monsoon which occurs between June and the end of September. Goa lies in the path of the South Westerly Monsoon thereby experiencing a dry period lasting 6 to 8 months of the year followed by the annual rainfall which occurs over the remaining four months.During the two months preceding the onset of the monsoon, the humidity increases dramatically and the normally clear skies become hazy and then cloudy. During the monsoon 200 cm to 250 cm of rain is normal, although in the Western Ghats the downpour is considerably higher than on the coast.Once the monsoon has run its course the skies clear up and the weather becomes pleasant. For 4 to 5 months from October through February, the climate is near perfect, cloudless blue skies, warm but not oppressively hot days and calm seas. By mid-March the humidity starts to rise as the monsoons begin to approach again. TOPCopyright Goa Tourism Development Corporation Designed by Goa Cyber

Festivals In GoaBonderam Festival, GoaThe feast of Bonderam is celebrated on the fourth Saturday of August every year at Divar Island, 12-km from Panjim. On this day, the quiant land of Divar, away from the hustle and bustle of Panjim, is agog with excitement. Melodious music drift from the village to mainland Old Goa - once the hub of Portuguese Goa - even before the crack of dawn on the Saturday. At noon people begin trickling into the village. By the evening the trickle is a deluge. An expectant crowd assembles along either side of the main through fare of the village. The tempo is set by lands and lasses wielding "fotashes" engaging themselves in mock battles. The gaily coloured floats accompanied by colourfully dressed youngsters make a pretty picture.

17 Food Traditional Indian dishes Seafood dishes Vibrant spices
Another hugely important part of Goia culture is the cuisine. Another reason why tourism in Goa has become so incredibly popular is because of the fine foods that are served. As well as traditional Indian dishes, the coastal towns around Goa specialise in offering some of the most fantastic seafood dishes anywhere in the world. Vibrant spices and traditional cooking are blended with the produce of the local sea to create meals that the Goans have become renowned for around the world.
