Supporting Statewide Activities ► Many offices spread throughout the state  Similar but unique projects  Maintaining data consistency  Project status  Maintain project history  Provide data to partners

Gathering Data Statewide ► Flood Recovery  The Past ► Paper forms detailing project status were mailed to Charleston in bulk for processing ► Pictures were often poorly named and could not be matched up to sites ► Could not provide status updates in a timely manner

Gathering Data Statewide ► Flood Recovery  The Present ► Paper forms are now digital and accessible online ► Pictures are now uploaded to our Charleston servers and are automatically associated with the correct site ► Real time status updates are easily accomplished ► Integrated WVCA data with our Partners Data to simplify tracking and eliminate duplication

Gathering Data Statewide ► How did we do it?  Web based administration system ► Information can be entered at any of our district offices and is immediately available to all staff throughout the state  ArcIMS server ► Maps can be automatically generated from any of our offices about individual sites or larger areas ► Near ‘real time’ project status about our recovery efforts

Advantages ► Data is shared easily  We can provide our partners with a login to the same system that we use ► Provide reports in any format requested  Always current and all photos / paperwork can be associated with each site ► Historical information  Identify problem areas  Demonstrate that our efforts are effective
