What is A/V Technology? Arts, Audio and Video Technology involve any form of media that is encoded in a machine-readable format such as digital media/arts. Examples include: Graphic Design Video Production Audio Recording Photography Animation Printing

You must have or utilize Rather you’re using your creativity or someone else's, you’re still going to be working with creativity. Remember many times before one get’s paid for their own creativity, they often have to work on someone else's creativity first. It’s important to remain respectful during the process. Note that many people try to emulate or copy a style or material that they admire, but careful to be inspired, but not copy someone else’s work. We’ll learn about plagiarism and copy rights later on.

The art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books. For example, a product package might include a logo or other artwork, organized text and pure design elements such as images, shapes and color which unify the piece. Graphic Design

It is the process of creating video by capturing moving images (videography), and creating combinations of parts in video editing. In most cases the captured video will be recorded on electronic media such as video tape, hard disk, or solid state storage, but sometimes on film stock such as filmmaking. The production team should have all the camera, lighting, and sound equipment ready before filming to be as efficient as possible. Video Production

Refers to audio that can be synchronized with video. This applies to film and TV. One major aspect of audio post production is the use of ADR, or automatic dialogue replacement. Sometimes the original audio lacks in quality, and the actor is brought into a sound studio to record some of their dialogue from the project. Other elements such as foley, music, and voiceover are also added during post production. Same applies to musical artist recording in a studio. Audio Recording

It’s the science, art and practice of creating still images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film. Photography

It’s a simulation of movement created by displaying a series of pictures, or frames. Cartoons on television is one example of animation. Note the difference between animation and video. Whereas video takes continuous motion and breaks it up into discrete frames, animation starts with independent pictures and puts them together to form the illusion of continuous motion. Animation

It’s a process for reproducing text and images using a master form or template. Modern printing is done typically with ink on paper using a printing press. It is also frequently done on metals, plastics, cloth, and composite materials. On paper it is often carried out as a large-scale industrial process and is an essential part of publishing and printing. Printing
