15. Christianity Christians believe that both scripture and the viewpoint of religious leaders should be taken into consideration when making moral decisions. Some Christians believe that the Bible is the word of God. The religious leader for Roman Catholics is Pope Benedict XVI. The Protestant church has many different denominations with different leaders, e.g., archbishops.

16. Judaism The religious book for the Jewish people is the Torah. Judaism was founded by Moses. Jewish people follow God’s laws in making moral decisions and these include the 10 commandments. Jewish religious leaders are called Rabbis.

17. Islam God sent a number of prophets to mankind to teach them how to live according to His law. The last prophet was Muhammad (peace be upon him) and their holy book was revealed to him by Allah. Muslims base their laws on their holy book the Qur’an, and the Hadith, which is sayings of the prophet.
