Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that’s starts in cells of the breast. A malignant tumor is a group of cancer cells that can grow into (invade) surrounding tissues or spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body.

About 232,340 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women. About 64,640 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed (CIS is non- invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer). About 39,620 women will die from breast cancer

men can get breast cancer, too. Many people do not realize that men have breast tissue and that they can develop breast cancer. Breast cancer is about 100 times less common among men than among women. The number of breast cancer cases in men relative to the population has been fairly stable over the last 30 years.

What lessons did you learn from the project? We learned that breast cancer is a serious issue among women and men, that people should donate money to help these people out because there facing many struggles in there lifetime. How did you resolve any issues or conflicts? We helped raise money for breast cancer research so the money can help find a cure. What was the most difficult part of the project? Learning about how people that can die from breast cancer and how family can lose loved ones such as chlidren losing there mom,dad or maybe there grandmother or even there grandfather.
