Legacy switches typically do not have PoE capability. -Either need to replace switch blades and power supplies (if equipped). -Or replace the legacy switch with a new PoE capable unit. Providing PoE power from switches creates extra heat within the switches—lowers MTBF (especially 30-watt 802.3at PoE).
