4 Importance of Machine Tools Machine tools are backbone of many major manufacturing industries Example Profile of a Japanese car manufacturing company: Revenues: 230 billion $ (India’s GDP: 1089 billion $) Profits: 15 billion $ (Ethiopia’s GDP: 20 billion $) Machining Budget: 8 billion $ (Rs 45000 Crores)
