17 Uses of NISH based statistics The interesting development in Nigeria currently, is the increasing demand for statistical products by governments, private business sector, Non- governmental organizations (NGOs) and the academia to mention a few. NISH based products have been used extensively for policy, programme design and performance monitoring by government and UN agencies. Key areas were NISH had been used include;  Immunization programmes  Fertility & mortality control  Health policies  Minimum wage adjustments  Poverty alleviation policies & programmes  Job creation programmes  Water supply and management schemes
