3 For many reasons, what happens in the Middle East is of vital interest to world security and future peace. Geography, history, religion, oil, terrorism, politics, culture, and outside influences are all connected to form the mosaic that makes up the Middle East story. The problems found there are complex and not easily solved. You assignment is to piece this puzzle together in a well-organized essay that also reveals the complexity of the issues. Remember that no outside research or defencing is required for this paper. Your information is to come from class activities, discussions, documentaries the filmstrip, maps and your textbook.
