Bronco Passing Academy’s mission statement is to teach the fundamentals of quarterback play to high school student athletes in the state of Maine by having a 3 day quarterback camp.

To successfully change the offensive football culture in the state of Maine by promoting a passing academy. To have all 35 eastern high schools represented in the passing academy. My target age group is 14- 19 year old football players that are quarterbacks.

High School Football in Maine is becoming one of the fastest growing varsity sports in the entire country. Going back to 1991 the state has seen 18 new programs enter the varsity ranks with several more to go (Lenzi, 2010). Further proof of this sports explosion was a story Sports Illustrated wrote as part of their Friday Night Lights series regarding the 2007 Class A state championship game between Bonny Eagle and Lawrence(Dohrmann, 2007).. The growth of youth football in Maine is not confined to the high school varsity level (Clark, 2011).

Canty has recently coached highly competitive Division II and Division III football programs. Prior to accepting the job at Hampden Academy, Canty was the offensive coordinator at Husson University from 2011-2013, where is quarterback broke every school season and career passing record under his guidance. At Lake Forest College 2009-2011. In the 2010 season, the offensive line cut sacks allowed in half and more than doubled rushing yards gained from the previous year. Canty also coached at the College of St. Scholastica ’08 and his alma mater, Division II Wingate University 06- 08. Canty has coached multiple Academic All- Americans and South Atlantic Conference Honor Student Athletes, as well as 25 All-Conference, 4 All- Region, and 5 All-American student-athletes. Canty was an outstanding college football player at Wingate University. He was an All-American and a starter in the East Coast Senior Bowl. 2013 HA Broncos were able to have the most prolific passing season in the schools 100 year history.

Our coaching philosophy is to instill the necessary techniques and knowledge into my student athletes, regardless of their ability, to help them to make a positive impact on the game of football, but also have a positive impact on their life. TRUST Trust is the foundation of great team work. We must be able to trust each other to be successful. RESPECT Respect is the glue that holds a program together. If mutual respect does not exist the organization will ultimately self- destruct COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE A true commitment of excellence requires that you never settle for anything less than your best when striving towards a goal

"We are thrilled to have Kevin joining our family. He is an innovative, ambitious, and talented coach who will make an immediate impact on the growth of our program. He embodies the character and talent that is critical for this position and will serve as a great mentor to our student-athletes." – Sean Murphy, former head football coach at Husson University "We are incredibly fortunate to be able to add Kevin Canty to our football staff. He was a great player and has a great deal of experience as a coach and offensive coordinator."- Bob Reasso, Athletic Director at Phiffer University “He is a tireless worker and I know he will continue to find success as a football coach."- Jim Catanzaro, head football coach Lake Forest College “Kevin has the it factor. He will be a successful head coach one day. He relates to his student athletes.” –Joe Reich, head football coach Wingate University
