2 2 What is Spot A Squirrel? An addictively entertaining mobile application. An educational tool that helps gain familiarity with campus. A conceptually artful display of campus that is noteworthy and memorable. A unique platform that contributes to meaningful charitable organizations. Why “Spot A Squirrel?” Squirrels are adorable creatures that delightfully inhabit campus The name is thoughtful, memorable, and simple. When walking around campus and you “Spot A Squirrel” this remembrance trigger could inspire the user to play our game. The domain is available! 2

3 3 How does it work? High definition photos of campus, structures, events, clubs, scenery, and surrounding areas. Two images seemingly identical are set side by side. Time limit on spotting the differences between the images. “Did you know?” page including unique fact about photo. Categorical level packs will be included. (e.g. Adventures at State, Memories at State, Structures at State, Food at State, Clubs at State, Sports at State) Who will use it? Penn State Students/Alumni THON volunteers/supporters Wounded Warrior supporters State College community Development team, “It is like taking a tour of campus without actually taking one and it is much more fun!” 3

4 4 How will it make money? The application will utilize several avenues for revenue generation. Within the website Google AdSense will be deployed generating page view and ad-click revenue. In a similar aspect iAd will be applied within the mobile application also generating revenue. In-app purchases can be made clicking the “Store” link. Within the store the user can purchase a stunning photographs or related merchandise. Our team will utilize Zenfolio service to manage all printing/shipping/order filling needs. Once the application gains popularity other mobile platforms will be developed. Also level packs will be subsequently provided at a cost of.99 – cents. Who will it benefit? A featured section of the charities we sponsor will also be hosted through our application. Each charity will be highlighted, rightfully so, and a donation link provided. 4

A list of “facts” and “photos & edited photos” will be provided The application is desired to be similar to “Spot the difference” app on iOS. The app educates students in between levels with interesting facts about campus. If they like what they see they can also purchase the photo to hang on their wall.hyperlinkhyperlink

6 6 Survey Results Our group received 22 responses to a survey we sent out to family, friends, and classmates along with a “prototype” game. 6

7 7 Data Analysis Our survey consisted of 22 participants from the age ranges of 19 to 41. 81% of the users found our application fun. 77% of the people surveyed stated that they would continue to use the application. Users are 75% likely to tell a friend of the application “Spot a Squirrel.” Users are 48% likely to make an in-app purchase. The most noticed feature was that users enjoyed the game itself. The second was the interesting facts a user can learn. 77% of the users stated that they would support a charity by purchasing more levels. 7

8 8 Predictions or Trends We find it essential to provide future level packs given most users felt they would continue to support “Spot a Squirrel.” Along with the diverse marketing campaign we feel “Spot a Squirrel” will rapidly grow because the users are likely to spread the word of the application to a friend. “Spot a Squirrel” has great potential for future growth. Every 3 months Spot a Squirrel plans to re-conduct this survey to provide us with feedback of changes that need to be made and change within consumer interest. Short Term Goals To achieve market saturation in the State College community. Funnel revenue to reputable charities. Long Term Goals Expand our game towards other universities. “Spot A Squirrel Visits Maryland” Relay for Life Develop application on other platforms (e.g. Android, Windows, etc.) Funnel significant revenue to reputable charities. 8
