3. Its secrets depends a great deal upon its origin. Maltwhisky

4. The climate is important

5. Barley, yeast and water is the foundation. Peat, copper and oak refines it.

6. Special finish gives whisky extra and new dimensions.

7. Aaaaahhhhhh… But how????

8. First the barley needs to be soaked in water.

9. Then germinate. To turn the starch into maltsugar. The barley turns with shields to prevent high temperatures.

10. After that, it has to be dried in a kiln. To dry it with burning peat gives a nice smoky character. Specially if the peat is cut with a Toibsgirh.

11. Its difficult to breathe high up in the kiln. But what a bouquet!

12. Hhhhhhhhhhh… Truly, what a scent!

13. The barley is then crushed and mixed with hot water. Add yeast and after about ten days something called wash is ready to distillate.

14. Copper is important It cleans the whisky in something called refluxation.

15. Out from the pan comes a 75% liquid. BPS

16. Copper, hmmm plastic is nice to. So then you pour it into a bucket???

17. Oh no! The only sensible thing is to store it in barrels. After maybe 10 years it becomes a complex & enjoyable beverage called whisky.

18. Straight from the cask, as it is, is the best. Raw cask!

19. Raw Cask! Sounds like me! Gotta take a trip to Scotland.
