3 What You Should Learn from Trends 2014! Our speakers will provide research based insights on the recruiting cycle:  Employers – gain metrics useful in your recruiting strategy  Colleges – share information on recruiting topics to use with students, alumni, faculty and staff

5 Breakout Sessions Choose to attend one of the informative sessions at 10:45AM Friday: 1.Employer panel discussion on current recruiting issues, 2.Diversity panel discussion 3.Using infographics and visual displays of quantitative information for reports and social media 4.Building the Career Services Brand at a Small College, or, A Large One!

6 Advice – How to Prepare for the Trends Conference Review the MWACE website to learn more about the committees and their leadership contacts committees and their leadership contacts If interested in joining a committee, consider attending a meeting during the conference on Friday, Nov. 21st from 8:00 -9:00AM Sign up for one of the employer site visits (college members only!) – 12:30-3:00PM, Thursday, Nov. 20th Plan to attend the Employer Colloquium (employers only!) – 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Thursday, Nov. 20 th (See slide below for employer comments!) Discuss your questions with your MWACE Ambassador Bring a supply of business cards!!!

8 Employer Colloquium November 20th – 1:00 - 3:00 PM, Location – LaSalle Ballroom You will have an opportunity to submit topics to discuss when you register for the Conference. Mary Scott will speak for about 45 minutes and then Q & A for 15 minutes. Topic will be: ways for employers to make an impact on campus and sharing of current trends A panel discussion to include college and employer reps Additional questions to ensure conversation is valuable (i.e. How to get candidates to venture to remote areas, different strategies for attracting the right candidates on campus, and more!)

10 Tips for a Successful Conference Experience  Invite yourself along, make it a point to join a new group for refreshments or conversation!  Use your name badge  Look at the ribbons that others are wearing to help make contact with MWACE leaders or new members/first-time conference attendees

11 Tips for a Successful Conference Experience, Pt. 2  Bring a pen for sessions  Develop some questions for the keynoters and employer panel  Attend the workshops of your choice on Friday at 10:45 AM  Don’t miss the raffle to end the conference, 2:00 PM!  Network, network, network!
