Multiple iSCSI RAID arrays can be used along with multiple SAN Melody servers, Gigabit switches and multi-path iSCSI cards in each server. High-Availability is achieved through synchronous mirroring between adjacent storage servers packaged as a pair. Both members actively process I/Os. Each server may be configured to handle primary paths for some of the volumes while its companion takes over with the mirrored images in case of failure.
