The Water Cycle Water Enters the atmosphere as water vapor through – Transpiration-leaves plants through their leaves – Evaporation-from lakes, rivers, oceans. Water vapor becomes water when – Condenses in the air and forms clouds Water returns to earth – Through precipitation Absorbed by Earth – Infiltration (Percolation) to form groundwater – Runoff into lakes and streams

Activity Roll Your Way through the Water Cycle – Complete all the boxes for the travels. You may only stay at a station two times in a row. After two rolls at a station you must continue rolling till you move You can return to any station once you have left it – Use your journey to create a cartoon for Wally Water-droplet. 8
Such A Small Amount Of Fresh Water The 3% of useable fresh water is found – On the surface – As groundwater – Frozen in Glaciers and Ice Caps
10
Surface Water Is Found As 69% Ground Ice and Permafrost 20.9% Lakes 3.8% moisture in the soil 2.6 % swamps and marshes 0.49% Rivers 0.26% In living things 3% Atmosphere
