Producing dance music Samuel Ondercin UNIT 6 2.1 – 2.5

2.1-2.2 PRODUCING DANCE MUSIC Here is an overview of my whole track. I had and simple idea at the start of adding a drop witch is a element of dance music. But then I developed it by adding beats. The outro of the song is a mirror image of the start of the song. Here is a short part of my song :

2.3 PRODUCING DANCE MUSIC I edited the EQ to add bass to the song. I did not choose a preset. I added effects like reverb to make the song sound better. I added bit crusher to suit the song. And make the track sound more electronic. Here I used a preset to add Bass Boost

2.4 PRODUCING DANCE MUSIC I have made a mp3 mix down of the track that I posted on Sound cloud for easy access -My SongMy Song To do this you Export the song to disk When you export song to disk make sure you compress it to mp3 encoder and that the quality is high. I saved my piece as My Song and saved it to my desktop.

2.5 PRODUCING DANCE MUSIC My track is the genre of Funk. For example I can relate to James Brown. He was one of the most iconic figures in funk and soul music from 1956 to 2006. The song I Got You (I Feel Good) was No1 in the US Billboard Hot 100. My track track has a drop near the start. It contains loops of Electronic bass and my own tracks. I added reverb, EQ and echo to the tracks to make them sound better and and clearer. The instruments used in the song are Bass, Strings, Piano, Drum kit, Electric bass and Chords. The BPM of the track is 125.
