3 Effects Chorus - A chorus (or ensemble) is a modulation effect used to create a richer, thicker sound and add subtle movement. The effect roughly simulates the slight variations in pitch and timing that occur when multiple performers sing or play the same part. Chorus Chorus is a common guitar pedal effect that gives a clean electric guitar a "dreamy" quality. It's also widely used on acoustic guitar, electric piano, and clavinet. On strings and synth pads, chorus creates a richer, more complex sound. Stereo chorus effects also can be used to widen a stereo image. Chorus Flanger - The Flanger effect works in much the same way as the Chorus effect, but it uses a significantly shorter delay time. In addition, the effect signal can be fed back into the input of the delay line. Flanging is typically used to create changes that are described as adding a spacey or underwater quality to input signals. The middle section of this song features flange. (approx. 2m12)flange

4 Effects Delay – Delay effects store the input signal—and hold it for a short time—before sending it to the effect input or output. Delay The held, and delayed, signal is repeated after a given time period, creating a repeating echo effect. Each subsequent repeat is a little quieter than the previous one. Phaser - Phasers are a common guitar pedal effect that gives a clean electric guitar a "shimmering" quality. Phasers are also widely used on acoustic guitar, electric piano, clavinet, strings, and synth pads. Phaser Reverb – ‘space’ in a recording. Usually added to vocals, but also to other instruments. Reverb can be over used.

5 Effects Limiter – Basically you set the ‘limit’ and the level of the audio passing through the unit cannot go above this value. Portamento – Continuous gliding from note to note. Can be used on guitars, synthesizers, keyboards. Portamento Listen to the different effects applied to a drum track in this video Listen
