4 Why go to Turkey Turkey is an extremely popular holiday destination, its gorgeous, beach-strewn coastline and the fabulous city break holiday destination of Istanbul draw hordes of tourists to Turkey every year. Culture explorers can explore the palaces and mosques of Istanbul or the perfectly preserved leftovers at Ephesus. More adventurous travellers can enterprise inland to see the fairy-tale landscapes of Cappadocia. If you're looking for a cheap holiday in Turkey, you will find the best resorts, locations and places to shop and eat for a top quality low cost holiday.

5 Food in turkey The food in Turkey is delicious. Turkey enjoys an abundance of fresh food produced locally because of the pleasant climate and rich soil. The long coastline Turkey has along the Mediterranean Sea means there is always plenty of fresh sea food on offer. In fact, Turkey is one of the few countries that produces more food than it consumes and is able to export food. One shortcoming of Turkey as a large tourist destination is the lack of foreign food available in Turkey; however, Turkish food is wonderful and makes up for the dearth of foreign food varieties.

6 Climate in Istanbul, Turkey
Istanbul has a temperate oceanic climate which is influenced by continental climate, with hot, and humid summer and cold, wet and occasionally snowy winters. Istanbul has high annual rainfall of 844 mm which is more then that of London, Dublin and Brussels, with late autumn and winter being the wettest and late summer and spring being the driest. Although late spring and summer are relatively dry when compared to the other seasons, rainfall is significant during these seasons and there is no dry season as a result.
