2 The IPCC Synthesis Report provides information on: How to address the issue of “dangerous anthropogenic perturbation” to the climate system, and the relationship between climate change and development, equity and sustainability Robert Watson (Question 1)

3 The IPCC Synthesis Report provides information on: Climate change: past, present and future –changes in the mean state, variability and extreme events Observed and projected impacts of climate change on ecological systems, socio-economic sectors and human health, and approaches to adapt to climate change Habiba Gitay (Questions 2 & 3, 4a)

4 The IPCC Synthesis Report provides information on: The implications of inertia in the climate, ecological and socio-economic systems, and the potential for abrupt threshold/non-linear high impact events The climatic consequences and associated impacts of stabilizing greenhouse gas concentrations David Griggs (Questions 4c,d,5 & 6)

5 The IPCC Synthesis Report provides information on: Technological and policy opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; the costs to Annex I countries of complying with the Kyoto Protocol targets, and the costs to stabilize carbon dioxide concentrations at levels ranging from 450-1000 ppm Jayant Sathaye (Question 7)
