2. About us Politehnica University of Timisoara (UPT) is one of the biggest and most well known technical universities from Central and Eastern Europe. Over the 93 years of existence, our university has built a well deserved reputation for excellence. The excellence is based on the academic programs, research, the support given to students, which leads to a good relationship with alumni, engagement in the socio-economic life of the region.

3. About us The two pillars of each prestigious university are its research and academic programs, which need to be strongly anchored within the socio-economic environment. In 2011, our university was classified as an institution for Higher Education and Advanced Scientific Research by the Romanian Ministry of Education. In 2009, UPT was awarded a certificate of high- confidence rating by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
