3. first two rules of rounding numbers
To round a number to the nearest, we round it to the multiple of ten nearest to it
A number which is midway is always rounded up.
Examples:26 is rounded to 30;132 is
to 130 ; 825 is rounded 830

4. Second two rules of rounding numbers
To round a number to the nearest hundred, we round it to the multiple of hundred nearest to it.
A number which is midway is always round up.
Examples:826 is rounded to 800;1259 is round to is rounded to 830.

5. Third two rules of rounding numbers
To round a number to the nearest thousand, we round it to the multiple of thousand nearest to it.
A number which is midway is always rounded up. Examples:426 is rounded to 500;1259 is rounded to is rounded to

We can now extend the rule of rounding off, to the nearest ten thousand, lakh,ten lakh and so on.

8. Rounding to nearest ten thousands
If digit in the thousands place is 8 since 8 > 5, the number is closer to

9. Rounding to nearest lakh
If the digit in ten thousands place is 4;<5 so we will not round it up.
