3. How Tsunami are caused Tsunami are caused by underwater earthquakes. These quakes are made when two tectonic plates collide. This can be very deadly in some cases. Although they can not be stopped, the damage can be lessened.

4. Lessened the damage Tsunami can not stopped but the damage can be lessened. They use mitigation to notify the costal community's of Tsunami threats. There are two main tsunami warning stations (National Tsunami Warning Center and Pacific Tsunami Warning Center) which help to prepare for tsunamis. These help to evacuate and prepare people.

5. Detecting Tsunamis Detecting tsunamis takes a lot of equipment. They use things called DART Buoys. Other main sources of information is the internet as well as direct satellite feeds. The team of hydrodynamic modelers process the data and send out warnings if necessary.

6. The difference between a tsunami caused by a volcano and an earthquake Volcano These happen when a volcano under water or on shore eruption occurs. The land falls which moves the water and causes the tsunami. Earthquake This type of tsunami happens when two plates collide. This is the most common tsunami and is very deadly in some cases.

7. How to deal with a tsunami after it has happened After a tsunami has happened it is a terrible tragedy. They must first look for any people that are injured, missing or displaces. Then they must clear away the debris from villages and road ways were the tsunami has occurred. Communities can never be fully prepared for the destruction of a tsunami. 8. Conclusion The science of tsunamis is huge and has a lot of details to understand the complexity of tsunamis. Tsunamis created and have caused vast damage to people and places every year. The work of Mrs. Wright at the NOAA has helped people to understand and prepare for tsunami activities through research and data findings.
