Applications Application for Pumps
The Pump market can be divided into three segments Chemical and Off Shore pumps PEEK is not unknown in this market, the world biggest pump manufactures like KSB, Wilden-Pumps, Allweiler, Ingersoll Dresser pumps etc have already PEEK in charge or working with. Very low quantities, mostly machined from stock shapes. Off shore pumps are used in UK, Norway and The Netherland. 3P Uk is doing very well by using Xytrex from EGC in Texas. Chemical pumps are more seen in Germany, Switzerland and France Automotive fuel, oil and waterpumps PEEK is new due to it’s high price level, and is interesting for water and oil pumps Because of the high using temperature. The market is very big and is the most interesting. Oil pumps for Volkswagen( Salzgitter) MAV 12 tons, Water pumps for Daimler Chrysler (Berlin)MAV ca. 15 tons. Vanes for Robert Bosch Italy MAV ca 4 tons, increasing up to prob. 12 tons Vanes for LUK MAV tons And others Household-heating installations, Powerstation PEEK is used as impeller, injection molded in side channel pumps, or as glide bushings, as for Wilo and Speck. Quantities are very low and divided in several dimensions. The range of customers is nearly the same as for chemical and off shore pumps due to Lab, chevron seals

The Next Generation of Coatings for Durability and Long Life
62
Coatings applications
Electrostatic (powder) Coating: Powders are sprayed directly onto a heated substrate. Powders melt to form the coating typically 100 – 1000 microns dft (4-40 mil dft). Typical applications – Pans, rice cookers, dampers, bushings, cylinder head gaskets, bearings, parts for corrosion resistance Vicote 700 series products Dispersion Coating The formulated aqueous based coating is sprayed onto the substrate which is subsequently heated to form a thin film on the substrate ( dft). Typical applications – cookware, irons, engine piston rings, bearings, large parts in chemical plants for corrosion resistance, coating glass and Kevlar™ fabrics. Vicote 700 (powder) or 800 (dispersions) series Thermal Spray Powder is passed through flame to melt and melt the polymer which adheres and solidifies on the cool surface. (Under development) Potential Applications – Objects that can’t be heated in an oven.

Cleaning Roller Gear OVERVIEW
Kyocera is using a-Si photoconductive drum in order to achieve longer file (resulted from higher wear resistance). Oxide forms on the surface of the a-Si drum, which results in cleaning roller subjected to high torque while scrubbing the oxide films from the a-Si photoconductive drum. The gears fabricated from Victrex PEEK materials had high mechanical strength and is able to with stand the torques without deformation. Cleaning Roller Gear
