Align to local curriculum High student interest Meet student & family needs/help fill gaps in education Inexpensive to print, esp. compared to kits for order Help encourage families to have books in the home Assist parents to help their child learn— parent can read book with/to child and discuss topics with children Ideas for during reading of text gives parents ideas on how to interact with text with their child Ideas for after reading help parents select developmentally appropriate activities and local family-oriented options How?
